Rev. Milton Cruz is a native New Yorker of Puerto Rican descent and is licensed with the Christian and Missionary Alliance Denomination. Prior to coming to Riverside Alliance Church, Pastor Cruz served as a Chaplain for about seven years. Most of those years were spent serving as a Hospice Chaplain in the state of Connecticut and in the Hudson Valley Region of NY State.
Pastor Cruz and Tammy, possess over 35 years of ministry experience working with churches as a pastor, youth leaders, and in various capacities in Christian camping settings. He has both undergraduate and post graduate degrees in Urban Ministry.
He and Tammy will be married for 34 years in 2026. They met in Pennsylvania while ministering to disadvantaged youth from the NY Metropolitan Are. They also serve as directors of their ministry, True North Youth Ranch, Inc. (TNYR)
True North is a faith-based, Not-for-Profit organization they began some years ago and was given not-for-profit status in 2020. Through TNYR, they uniquely minister to teens, children, and adults; therapeutically sharing Christ, their healer.
Tammy is originally from Florida but grew up in the Mid-west. She was formerly certified in EAL (Equine Assisted Learning)/ EAP (Equine Assisted Psychotherapy)/the EAGALA Model (Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association). Her certification was acquired in 2019. She is certified with the organization O.K. Corral, founded by Gregg Kerstin. In addition, Tammy holds a certification in Elementary Education and taught for 15 years in private and public-school settings.
